Sarah is a St Leonards-based yoga teacher and certified personal trainer focusing on functional fitness, flexibility and balance for her students regardless of age or ability.
Sarah fell in love with yoga over 20 years ago and, to deepen her practice, she completed her Yoga Alliance Professionals' 200-hour certified teacher training in 2019. She taught yoga in London for several years online and in-person before moving to Joshua Tree, California in 2022.
In Joshua Tree, she honed her practice by teaching regular classes at an independent gym, the local community centre, a few hotels and several boutique yoga studios. She has taught at AirBnb experiences and been a guest teacher on retreats.
Yoga philosophy and inclusivity are integral to Sarah’s practice and she focuses on teaching awareness, balance and a mind-body connection. Her teaching style is a combination of several traditions and schools that she has studied including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and trauma-informed yoga. She regularly collaborates with other wellness practitioners to bring yoga to their clients. Sarah teaches groups and private clients, often integrating the playing of crystal sound bowls in her sessions.
In addition to yoga, Sarah teaches a variety of fitness classes (for individuals and groups) focusing on functional flexibility, mobility and strength. In 2024 she completed her Certified Personal Trainer qualification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a globally-recognised credential for fitness professionals.
When not on the mat or in the gym, Sarah can be found running, exploring nature, traveling, reading a book or being entertained by her cat.
